We decided to expand our riding to the eastern states having explored much of the western states. The BDR (Backcountry Discovery Routes) new launch in the Mid-Atlantic states gave us the needed structure to explore the glorious Appalachian Mountains on less traveled paths.
We started out across the western plain states and then through the midwest states with a stop in our original home state of Michigan to enjoy family and the rejuvenating lake culture. We fully expected to blow through the plains states as flat boredom, but we quickly had our prejudices extinguished with small backroad nirvana as we immersed ourselves into the small towns and farmlands of heartland America. After the baptism in the backroads, America’s interstate highways seem somewhat apostate in it’s rolling experience of traversing the grand plains!
