Awesome Cops in Kremmling, CO

In Granby, CO we stopped for lunch and I took off my leather chaps and rolled them up and tucked them up next to my bags with the intention of placing them in my bags when we came out.

28 miles later as we approach Kremmling, CO a policeman turns on his flashers as we drive by and pulls in behind us!  Speeding?!  Nope.  Us…”Is there a problem officer?”  Policeman…”Hey did you loose a nice set of leather chaps between here and Granby, CO?”  What?…um, actually yes now that I check my gear!  Policeman…”Don’t worry the Granby Cop is running them over here for you.”   WOW! What?  Really?  Policeman…”well we are riders and we know how much they cost so he called over here and told me to stop a group of bikers and he’ll run them over to us”.   I pointed to the black ribbon on his badge in honor of the recent fallen and I told him we support them and gratefully appreciate their work.  Firm handshakes all around…no words…
